"I am fascinated by human interactions with music and sound: how these elements relate to space, place, nature and people. My work process is led by observation, experimentation and exploration. For me, music and art are one."

Fda fine art (n.e.w. college bromsgrove) 2012-2013Go And Play With Green (Spring 2013). Aware that I had mainly been concentrating on monochrome imagery since the beginning of my course, I took inspiration from the beautiful leafy greenness that was around me and produced some experimental ink drawings based on how I saw the light through the leaves.
Below are some photos from an experimental drawing session I had at the beginning of my second semester at college. After observing the snowy trees in Axborough Woods through my camera lens, I was inspired to try some mark making techniques that would imitate the textures and contrast I saw. (January 2013)
Drawing to me is a way of exploring ideas, observing and documenting the world around me. During my first term (Sept'12-Jan'13), I used drawing as a method for quickly exploring ideas to see if they work and expressing emotion and feelings in response to music, movement and physical connections associated with English and French music and dancing.
